Therapy Dog Rufus
Rufus loves long walks, play time, prime rib bones, and BBQ. He is a sweetheart; loves to cuddle; hates to sleep alone; loves floor time; plays gently with his toys; and is content laying on his bed or the couch. Rufus is people-oriented and tends to stay close to where we gather. He responds to gentle verbal suggestions; definitely a smuggler! When we walk through the door, Rufus is there to eagerly greet us. His whole body wiggles and will often playfully pick up a shoe or toy to try to make you chase/engage him. He makes coming home a lot of fun!
Things that make him an easy dog…
*Without a dog door, he is wonderful at letting us know when he needs to go outside or when his water dish goes empty
*He’s not a barker
*He’s easy to train and self-manages very well when home alone
Rufus is gentle, but he comes with a lot of fear. Although great with people that he knows, he is fearful of introductions and gets anxious in unpredictable/unstructured situations.
