Therapy Dog Tonka
While Tonka is only a year new into Pet Therapy, he is truly a natural and was meant to do this work. Watching people watch him is the highlight of the sessions. Tonka works at Nursing homes, schools of all ages and levels, hospitals and hospices, provides stress relief to first responders, medical teams, colleges and many other facilities that benefit from his kind, gentle demeanor. When off duty, Tonka enjoys spending time with his deaf sister “Echo”, his blind and deaf sister “Faith” (also a therapy dog) and his pot bellied pig “Porkchops”. Tonka has his Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog Excellent titles through the AKC. He also enjoys Agility, playing soccer and bird watching when he’s not sleeping.
