Qualifying Your Dog

Getting qualified is easier than you might think.  Unlike other service animals, Therapy Dogs really have one duty — to bring comfort, joy to those who need it most. Therapy dogs come in all sizes and breeds. The most important characteristic of a therapy dog is its temperament. Certified therapy dog must be friendly, patient, confident, gentle, and at ease in all situations. Therapy dogs must enjoy human contact and be content to be petted, cuddled and handled, Be sure your dog fits the profile before registering your dog.

The Registration Process

Therapy Dogs International has taken the sometimes complicated process of getting you and your dog certified and registered to be a working Therapy Dog.  We take a simple, yet effective approach that let’s not only finish the registration quickly — but we can assist you every step of the way.

  1. To get started, simply click or tap the Register a Dog button on the top right corner of your screen.
  2. Fill out the online form, upload photo of your dog, tell us about your pet. Complete the form with basic info 
  3. When finished, provide payment information. All registrations are instant and will include ID card,inclusion into our database for quick verification by anyone with your registration number.

Getting Paid For Your Efforts

Many individuals and organizations are in desperate need of Therapy Dogs.  At Therapy Dogs Intl. we appreciate the care, time, effort and dedication you show by helping others with your beloved pet.  You may already be a part of another group or online community. What makes us different is that we assist folks like you receive the donations and payments that help the charitable work you do continue.  Whether you decide to use the donations to continue the good you’re doing or to give it to your favorite pet shelter — We think that the decision should be yours.  To help you collect money, schedule future visits and connect with others we provide an online dashboard.  Your T.D.I. profile includes easy “one-button” payment options so ALL donations get deposited into your PayPal(tm) account.  We make it easy to get paid for the good you do.
